But unfortunately, after getting the full membership the team had to wait till 2004 to win its first ODI. Zimbabwe until 1980 and before achieving the test status was not known as what it is known as today rather it was known as the Rhodesia Cricket team. But since 1992 after they got full membership in the International Cricket Council with regards to Test, One Day International and Twenty20 International they have been known as the Zimbabwe National Cricket team and are administered by the Zimbabwe Cricket Union.
