What is Vincy Premier League T10

The Vincy Premier League (VPL)  is a franchise-based T10 tournament played in the eastern Caribbean country of St Vincent and Grenadines. Total two tournaments of Vincy Premier League have been played so far. Vincy Premier League is the first-ever franchise cricket league in St Vincent and Grenadines. The tournament was launched on May 11, 2020.

Vincy Premier League was the first cricket league in the World which started during the COVID-19 pandemic in an open stadium and where fans were allowed to visit.

The first tournament was played from 22 May 2020 to 31 May 2020. Sunil Ambris, Kesrick Williams and Obed McCoy were some of the prominent names from the West Indies cricket who were part of the tournament.

The latest and second league was held at St Vincent and Grenadines at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex, from 7 November 2020 to 22 November 2020.

In the second edition of the Vincy Premier League T10, a total of six teams played. A total number of 30 matches were played in 15 days with two matches being played each day.

The first season’s champions were Salt Pond Breakers and runners-up were the La Soufriere Hikers. Salt Pond Breakers won the match by 19 runs.

The second season champions were La Soufriere Hikers and the runners-up were the Salt Pond Breakers. La Soufriere Hikers won the final match by 68 runs on 22 November 2020.

The new schedule and fixture of Vincy Premier League T10 2021 are not announced yet.
